Military Courtesy
Kitsap County is home to multiple military bases and therefore, we have had the pleasure of caring for many of our servicemen, servicewomen, and their families over the years. We thank you for your service to our great country. We appreciate your sacrifices and efforts to ensure our way of life and we are proud to extend a 10% military courtesy to you, your spouse, and dependents.
We understand the unique challenges that a career in the military presents in regard to receiving orthodontic care. We are here to guide you through the process.
Moving to Kitsap County?
Military transfers are inevitable and we want to make the transfer of your orthodontic care as easy for you as possible. If you do not have them, we will request the necessary records from your previous orthodontist on your behalf. Your initial evaluation and records at Ashmore Orthodontics are complimentary, as for all of our patients. The fee to complete treatment will be based on the amount of remaining treatment necessary. Dr. Ashmore will advise how much longer your treatment is likely to take at the initial visit.
Expecting a move?
We are always sad when our patients have to leave midway through treatment, but we understand. Let us know about your upcoming transfer as soon as possible. We will assist you in locating an orthodontic specialist in your new location and transfer your records as needed. Just as we are familiar with military transfers in and out of our practice, your new orthodontist probably will be too, so don’t worry! When transferring out, we only charge for the portion of your treatment that is completed before you go and will adjust our fee accordingly.
Active Duty
Deployments vary depending upon the situation; you may or may not be able to deploy with appliances on. Please let us know as soon as possible, if you need to deploy during treatment, so that we can adjust your treatment plan.
Joining the Military
Most often, you will not be permitted to attend boot camp with orthodontic appliances in place. Please talk with Dr. Ashmore regarding your options if you are in treatment and plan to join the military before your treatment is expected to be complete.
Yes, we accept your insurance!
We do accept most insurances, including the current military insurance. Our financial coordinator is experienced with working with insurance companies and can help ensure you receive the benefits you are entitled to.
